Damage Testing Dummy is a project I was part of as Game Programmer, during my 3rd year at AIV (Accademia Italiana dei Videogiochi). The project had 13 members. I created a game for a one-year project and evaluated its potential for collaboration with AIV on Steam. This project improved my teamwork and work management skills with various student categories. I gained experience using Unreal Engine with Blueprints.

What did I do?

Enemy

In the creation of enemies, a variety of opposing logic and tasks were implemented, resulting in a range of challenging foes. The Ranged Enemy serves as a basic opponent with melee attacks at its core, while Drones utilize the same movement logic but feature distinct attacks. Flying Drones employ a variety of strategic maneuvers to surround the player, while Kamikaze Drones pose a unique threat with their explosive impact.

Drone Assistance

Support drones have been designed with a number of features to assist players in their battle against enemies. These features include Fire Support to assist the player, Health Support to heal critical damage or low health, and Power-Up Support to provide an added edge against opponents.

Power-Up + Pick-Up

As a player fights enemies, Pick-ups, and Power-ups are there to assist and empower them. Pick-ups and Power-ups are strategic tools that support player and leverage their skills in his fight against adversaries. These valuable items enhance player abilities and are a perfect match with power-ups that introduce an extra layer of excitement and difficulty providing exciting challenges. Power-ups are carefully crafted to serve distinct purposes, like detonating explosives, electrifying chains, providing infinite ammunition, and delivering armor-penetrating projectiles.
