In my third and final year at AIV (Accademia Italiana dei Videogiochi), I embarked on a personal venture called ToonTanks. This feat gave me the opportunity to familiarize myself with C++ in Unreal Engine. While it was challenging at first to combine C++ with Unreal Engine, I persevered with grit and determination and ended up with a cute and fun game. 

What did I do?

Tank

I merged the conventional movement keys with mouse-controlled rotation and firing to develop the Tank.

Turret

I developed a preliminary turret design that enables the barrel to track the target when the tank is in close proximity until it reaches the optimal firing position.

Spawner

In order to successfully implement the spawner functionality, a thorough calculation was performed to determine the appropriate game map size and turret size. This allowed for the turrets to appear in multiple areas, providing a more dynamic and engaging experience for the user.
